ClearHR is a payroll and HR platform for Singapore businesses. This policy explains, in plain English, what data we hold, why we hold it, and how we protect it.
ClearHR ("we", "us") provides an HR and payroll system for Singapore SMEs. When your company uses ClearHR, you are the data controller [the party that decides how the data is used], and we act as your data processor [the party that stores and processes it on your instruction].
To run your payroll and HR, ClearHR stores the data your company enters about its employees. This can include:
We hold this data for one purpose only: to run your company's payroll, HR and statutory compliance [the reports you are legally required to file, such as CPF and IR8A]. We do not use employee data for our own marketing, and we never sell it.
We only share data where the law requires it — for example, submitting CPF contributions or IR8A filings to the relevant Singapore authorities. We do not share data with advertisers or third parties for their own use.
We keep your data for as long as your company holds an active ClearHR account. On request, we delete employee records in line with Singapore's statutory record-keeping requirements [the minimum period the law requires you to keep records].
Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) [Singapore's data-privacy law], individuals have the right to access and correct their personal data. Employees can view and request corrections through ClearHR directly, or contact us at the address below.
